Space Owner: Register on the site and build your profile—upload a photo and write a short, friendly bio so space seekers can build trust. Then click “Become a HomeMe” to submit your space listing—attach photos and details—once approved, it goes live (with a listing fee).
Space seekers: Create an account and fill in basic info. No profile for space seekers is required beyond the signup process.
Step 2
Listing or searching for storage space
Renting out space: After approval, your listing appears on the platform—answer inquiries promptly, and manage viewings through the website messaging system.
Looking for storage: Search by location, use filters or map view, browse available options (garage, driveway, room, carport, etc.), then send a message to the Space Owner (Home-Me), describing what you wish to store and making arrangements.
Step 3
Reservation, communication, and payment
Space Owner: Receives email or platform notification when a request comes in—review it on My Listings and approve/decline within 48 hours. Once approved, coordinate move-in via the messaging system.
Space Seeker: You’ll receive email confirmation if your request is accepted. Then use the internal messages to schedule move-in time and arrange payment with Space Owner—payments are made directly to the Space Owner offline.
